Individual Consulting

for those with complex chronic illness

For nearly three years, I was bedridden with a chronic and poorly-understood illness. Like so many people with complex chronic illness, I was forced to navigate a skeptical, and sometimes hostile, medical system. Through my own investigative work, I ultimately figured out the cause of my illness. I was fortunate to make a full recovery after pursuing treatment.

Current medical systems, across the globe, generally do not understand chronic conditions. Chronically ill people are often stigmatized, and their lived experiences are dismissed.

This is why I work as a consultant to chronically ill patients and families, as well as to researchers and MDs who serve this community.

Since 2019, I have worked with people from all over the world, thus far from: Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, New Zealand, the Netherlands, India, Australia, Spain, Slovenia, Ecuador, Switzerland, Romania, Pakistan, Sweden, Mexico, Austria, Morocco, Turkey, and every geographical region of the United States.

I offer consulting services. These are distinct from medical services, and I do not offer medical services.

I have no financial interest in connecting people with any specific doctors.

David Kaufman, M.D. - internist and complex disease specialist - said:
"Jeff, if I were ill, I would want you on my team for sure."

Whitney Dafoe said:
"Jeff is a really sincere, good, kind man. That’s basically all I wanted to say from someone who has met him in person. He’s extremely empathetic and intelligent. It doesn’t surprise me that he figured out so much on his own."

A severely and chronically ill mother of three said:
"Jeff has helped me so much with my care, advocating for me (and helping me advocate for myself). He is always there to help me sort out these incredibly complicated, nuanced, intricate issues...and we have a solid plan I feel so comfortable with.

I am so thankful, because I do not have the ability to analyze the situation and make plans to tackle all the never-ending obstacles to receiving the medical care I need. I feel such a relief...and I cannot tell you how I went from total despair, to feeling hopeful."
